Head of Procurement & Supply Chain

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to lead the company’s global procurement function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, supply chain optimization, and compliance with UAE regulations. The role requires a visionary leader with 12+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably within industrial, construction, or engineering sectors, and a proven record of managing global suppliers, ERP systems, logistics, and digital procurement processes. Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement Leadership Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and UAE standards. Lead global sourcing initiatives, evaluate suppliers, and manage relationships worldwide. Negotiate and finalise supplier contracts, MOUs, and purchase agreements ensuring compliance with UAE regulations. Drive cost optimisation, supplier performance, and quality assurance. Establish and enforce procurement policies, compliance procedures, and vendor governance frameworks. End-to-End Supply Chain Oversight Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to delivery, including local and international sourcing. Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services for all projects. Manage inventory levels, lead times, logistics, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with internal teams (projects, finance, legal) to ensure material specifications, approvals, and budgets are aligned. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions. Global Procurement & Logistics Handle international sourcing, shipping, freight, and customs compliance. Ensure adherence to UAE trade regulations, tariffs, customs procedures, and industrial compliance standards. Optimize logistics, shipping contracts, and supply chain efficiency across global operations. Digital & Process Optimization Oversee ERP-based procurement systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle) for streamlined operations. Implement digital workflows, automation, and reporting tools for efficiency and real-time monitoring. Use analytics to drive supplier evaluation, cost tracking, and procurement KPIs. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement and supply chain team. Serve as the key liaison for vendors, contractors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders. Report directly to Managing Director, providing strategic insights, forecasts, and recommendations. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

12+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with senior leadership experience.

Proven experience in global sourcing, vendor management, ERP procurement systems, and logistics.

Strong knowledge of UAE procurement and supply chain regulations, customs procedures, and industrial compliance standards.

Experience in industrial manufacturing or engineering sectors is highly preferred.

Exceptional negotiation, analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.
