The Context Qatar Airways, the award-winning national carrier of Qatar, is seeking a Transport Team Leader to manage ground transport, catering delivery, and ramp dispatch operations at Hamad International Airport. Operating in a high-density hub environment, the role ensures strict adherence to on-time performance (OTP), airside safety standards, and flawless flight loading across passenger, charter, and VIP aircraft.

What the Role Covers

Airside Fleet Dispatch & Catering Delivery You lead the real-time dispatch and execution of catering transport fleets across all aircraft turnarounds, including complex ultra-long-haul and VIP flights. You ensure all loading, offloading, and hi-loader vehicle positioning strictly align with airline specifications, food safety regulations, and airport ramp safety protocols.

Operations Management & Root Cause Incident Analysis You conduct thorough Voyage Report (VR) investigations for operational delays or discrepancies within the transport department, identifying root causes and defining corrective actions. You track On-Time Performance (OTP) data, oversee vehicle maintenance logs, and ensure airside safety and PPE compliance across all operational teams.

Resource Rostering & Team Leadership You oversee shift scheduling, overtime allocation, and vacation planning for catering drivers and equipment operators under the guidance of Duty Supervisors. You evaluate team performance, manage equipment allocation (tablets, radios, temperature probes), and identify targeted training needs for new and existing operational staff.

Candidate Profile

• High School Diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 1+ years of experience in airport ground or catering transport operations

• Valid Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) driving license

• Hands-on knowledge of aircraft loading procedures, hi-loader catering vehicles, and ground fleet management

• Experience in airside operations, shift rostering, and leading driver or equipment operator teams

• Fluent in professional spoken and written English, with high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in shift environments
