The Context

DSV, one of the world's largest transport and logistics groups with operations across 80+ countries, is looking for a Team Lead to supervise daily warehouse and contract logistics operations in Abu Dhabi. Note that this is a contract position rather than a permanent role — worth factoring in when evaluating the opportunity.

What the Role Covers

Team Supervision & Daily Operations
You plan, allocate, and supervise daily team tasks, ensuring efficient resource use to hit operational targets. You oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control — ensuring everything is completed accurately, on schedule, and properly recorded in the WMS.

Data Management & Reporting
You extract daily reports from the WMS, organize operational data in Excel, perform reconciliations, and manage data cleaning to maintain accurate records. You support timely and accurate WMS updates and maintain team performance tracking against KPIs covering productivity, accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost.

Inventory & Quality Control
You support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock checks, and discrepancy investigation. You maintain quality and process standards in line with company SOPs, client requirements, and contractual obligations, and ensure QHSE and security policies are consistently implemented.

Client & Supplier Coordination
You maintain strong working relationships with clients to support customer satisfaction and identify additional business opportunities. You coordinate with packing material suppliers and procurement to ensure timely material availability, and supervise relocation operations within agreed timelines.

People Management
You supervise, train, and support team members, managing attendance, discipline, uniform compliance, and PPE adherence. You escalate operational risks and improvement opportunities to the Supervisor as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field

• 2-4 years of experience in warehousing, contract logistics, or supply chain operations

• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or team lead capacity

• WMS proficiency and solid MS Office skills, particularly Excel

• Strong planning, organizing, and team management skills

• Result-oriented with good communication and financial acumen

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
